Firstly, A very Happy New Year from Social Committee for 2026.
To close off December, the Children enjoyed their party and the arrival of Father Christmas. Thank you to Gemma and Sharon for helping to run this event, whilst I did a little Kitchen work! Thank you to Santa and his team of helpers as sadly the weather was not very kind.
AGM:
For those who attend the AGM, Mulled Wine and Mince pies were on sale in support of GBR BLIND SAILING CHARITY, there was also a small raffle and I am pleased to advise that a donation of £80 was raised and sent to the Charity. Dont forget to come along on Thursday 22nd January to support the Sailing Committee with Tina's evening talk on her experiences with Blind Sailing.
The New Social Committee for 2026 will be pulling a new calendar of events for this year. Yvonne, Christine, Irene (Supporting Works Lunches) and a Big Welcome to Elissa joining this year.
100 CLUB January 2026
Thank you to all the members for taking part in our Monthly 100 Club Draw in 2025. The January winnings will be sent across in a few days by Bacs

Date for your Diary: Irish Night Saturday 28th March
Join us on Sat 28th March at 19:30 for live music and dancing, led by Big Foot Ceilidh Band, this is sure to be a great event to open the sailing season.
Tickets are priced at £15 for Adults and £8 for Juniors with supper included. Friends and family are welcome and early booking is appreciated.
Advance Notice: Saturday 9th May 2026
We are pleased to advise that we will be hosting the Dragon Boat Race for Bury Hospice to raised important funds for this Charity and our Sailing Club. We would appreciate as many helpers as possible to host this event and those who helped last year would agree what a great day and a GOOD feel factor. If you would like to assist with this day, you can sign up on the duty roster which is now open.
