    Despite a few spells of changeable weather, it has been fantastic to see such a great variety of boats out on the water enjoying some lively and competitive racing on both Wednesdays and Sundays.   • April / May Updates from Sailing Committee

    The sailing season is now well underway, with a great mix of activity taking place across the club. Racing is running on Wednesday evenings and Sundays, with Junior Sailing and Ladies Sailing taking place on Thursday evenings.   • Sailing Committee Update - Feb 26

    Updates from Sailing Committee Class Captain   Updates - Open Events for Solos, ILCAs and Juniors have been arranged and dates are in the Club Calendar Race Office -  This has been cleared out and cleaned by volunteers, there is still some more work to do, but there has been a great improvement. The large flags have been washed and are ready for the new season.

    LORD BIRKETT

    A large group of members from Elton headed north over the weekend of 5/6 July for the annual Lord Birkett event held at Ullswater Yacht Club. This event is now in its 63 rd year, and celebrates the fantastic work of Lord Birkett who fought to save the reservoir from being claimed by Manchester Water Company to provide drinking water.     North Youth and Junior Championships at Ullswater Yacht Club

    In June some of our Elton Juniors went on a weekend away to the largest youth and junior sailing event in the country. With over 190 sailors competing it was a busy but exciting few days.   • Elton Sailors on Tour Results Update

    Elton's sailors have been busy on the circuit recently, delivering strong performances and clocking up the miles across the country. At the Midweek Senior Travellers event held at Leigh & Lowton, conditions sounded a little drifty, but that didnt stop Darren Nield and Dave Woodhead from making the most of it. Darren secured an impressive 2nd place overall, with Dave close behind in 3rd. Great sailing from both!
