Level Up Sessions
A fantastic opportunity to build confidence to move to the next level under the guidance of a coach or instructor
When: Saturdays (Dates are on the Calendar), 3 hours per session.
Who Can Join: Adult sailing members, who have completed RYA Level 1 and/or 2 courses, are confident launching and getting ready to sail and would like to build their confidence for the next level.
Flexibility: Attend as many sessions as you like—whether that is one or all!
These sessions are designed to cater to sailors at all levels. To help us plan effectively, we ask that members sign up on the club website before attending.
How the Sessions Will Run
- Get Rigged and Ready: Advice and support will be available to help with rigging of boats and hiring club boats if needed.
- 13:00 Discussion: A short on-shore discussion about your plans and goals for the session.
- On-the-Water Supervision (2 Hours): The coach / instructor will provide supervision and feedback to help you improve.
- End of session race: Take part to put into practice all the skills you have developed.
- Debrief: After changing and de-rigging, join us in the bar for a friendly debrief and discuss next steps.
Session Focus Areas
Unlike the race coaching, there will not be a specific session focus as these sessions depend on the sailors that attend.
There is a WhatsApp Group in the Community, where the details along with any briefing and de-briefing information will be shared.
